Note: The first edition of this book sold very well from publication date in April, 1997. It was well-received by both professional reviewers and the public. Institutional sales were strong at both libraries and book clubs, particularly the Conservative Book Club. Bookstore sales were very good in the first year. Sales to the gold industry, i.e., various brokerage organizations, were steady throughout the period. The second edition builds on and the first book and brings the data and analysis current. This book is generally considered one the most reader-friendly and comprehensive introductions to gold investing currently available.
